Latex based Adhesives are mainly used in the foot wear industry for bonding porous and cellular structures and in some cases the whole hand crafted footwear is constructed using this adhesive. It is used where the material has porous structure like micro cellular rubber sheet, rubber bunwars, plastic coated cloth (rexine), canvas, leather, reconstituted leather boards, and various other different types of boards. It is quite popular in the manufacture of fancy ladies foot wear where artisans prefer this for binding and construction of foot wear uppers using beads, zardozi, velvet and other embroidered clothes.

With much development work going into these adhesives they provide excellent long open tack and develop good bond strength upon maturation of about 24 hours. They are economical and further economy can be achieved by adding water for diluting this concentrated adhesive as per the final use of the buyer. As these adhesives are water based the health and fire hazard by the use of solvent based Adhesives can be avoided.

We have formulations conforming to the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) and other qualities which are workable either by brush, piece of foam or bare hands for simple applications and by spray or rolls in large applications. The tack is formed on the adhesive applied surface immediately on evaporation of water present, which will remain for a long time depending on the quality of adhesive selected and the specific use. Upon joining two such surfaces applied by these adhesives pressure is applied to achieve a good bond and then left for maturation so that the water present in it gets totally evaporated. more.....
